Control Unleashed: A Foundation Seminar
Leslie McDevitt

This 4-disc DVD set contains portions of a two-day foundation seminar conducted by Leslie McDevitt. In these DVDs you will watch as Leslie works with dogs trained in dog sports that are uncomfortable or unable to work off lead around other dogs, easily distracted, easily aroused, stressed, shut down, or unable to control their impulses.

Leslie McDevitt's unique training program is designed to teach dogs and puppies how to relax, focus, and work off leash in stimulating and typically stressful situations. Using this program you will be able to train your dogs and puppies how to use their energy for focusing on you and the task at hand, instead of being distracted by what is going on around them.

Rather than using traditional attention and control techniques that often fail in performance situations, Leslie's training program uses a creative series of training games that can be customized to the needs of each particular dog. The program also stresses the importance of balancing attention and control work with letting your dog "be a dog."

In trying to help him through his crushing anxieties and fears, she met renowned veterinary behaviorist Dr. Karen Overall. Her work with anxious, reactive, impulsive and aggressive dogs gave her a unique perspective when she became a student of dog sports training.
